I have meant to post about this for some time, but it only happens from time to time and is not too annoying ,so it slips my mind to mention it here. However it just happened again and so I made a screenshot and am uploading it . What causes this strange artifacting in TVPaint 12 ? (it does not happen in TVPaint 11). It goes away if I resize the window slightly, so it is easy to "fix", but this shouldn't be happening at all, right? Are the developers aware of it and working on a fix ?

Looks like some kind of eccentric cursor erasure updating?

Hello David, yes it looks like something is not refreshing fast enough in the interface.
If you find a way to reproduce this easily or not too randomly, this would be a great help.

I should have mentioned in my first post that when this happens (seemingly at random) it is almost always when I've been using the Pen Tool in "Panto" mode.

I can reproduce with all tools using Panto, it needs to have a panel close by and artifacts happen when the main cursor bumps into it!

Yes Mox your method works every time!
And scrolling/panning erases the afterimages. Bug has been added to the tracker, thank you both.

EDIT: Kévin has resolved the issue
