Bringing up the Cintiq radial menu without using up a button for it?

Post by BruceM »

I'm looking for a way to bring up the Cintiq on-screen radial menu without using up one of the stylus's 2 buttons. I would like to keep the lower button for right click, and the upper button for switching between brush and eraser functions.
Has anyone already solved this?

Here's an effort to refine my question: I want to bring up a radial menu without using up one of the 2 pen buttons. Could incorporating the pen tip double tap function possibly do this? Not sure how/if it's possible since you have to program in a key command which would conflict with the "right click" command I have programmed for the lower button and the "toggle" brush & eraser function I have for the top button.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I think in the end you can't really get around using some external keys...
whether on a standard Keyboard or some on a special smaller device.

I know some animators that use a gaming keypad.
i recently started using this thing to place on top of my cintiq:

My point is TVPaint has so many functions and while you can do most with just the pen.
You can't do all but more importantly its not efficient.

using keyboard shortcuts will improve your workflow. So i think it would help you if you get used to using some buttons
and then one of them can be used to trigger the Wacom radial menu :D

I had been using the Razer Orbweaver mini kekpad, which worked great. But when I recently upgraded my Mac and it's OS (to Sequoia), I discovered that the Orbweaver is not supported and is now totally useless. Thanks for this suggestion Peter. I will check it out!
