Hi TVPaint Developement,
I'd like to know which is the highest bit depth supported in TVPaint Animation Pro?
The reason is we want to use it to paint on 10 bit log DPX files or even 16 bit lin DPX/TIFF/SGI files in their native full color depth.
So what we don't want is to just import from or export to these kind of formats. Instead we'd like to work directly on ready image sequences that need some retouch or the like.
Is that possible now?
If yes, which formats, any limititations?
Cheers,
Axel

Patrick,
thanks for answering.
It appears to me that you are somewhat missing a professional market here. In Eyeon Fusion's list we have just discussed which tool is great for painting, retouche and touchup. Everybody loves Mirage, but all are bound to work in high bit depth, so they simply can't use Mirage or Animation Pro for their work.
There are really big names there that had been in the discussion (ie. Hollywood post production people), so it may be worth thinking about it twice
You can contact me privately or on phone (germany) if you like to discuss this further.
Cheers,
Axel
