Title Sequence for Academy of Art Fall Animation Festival

Hey everybody,
I would like to share a group project that I worked on at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. The idea was to create a title sequence for the Fall Animation Festival for the school much like Gobelins does for Annecy. A core group of graduate students (about 7) in traditional animation, 3-D animation, and visual development got together and made a minute-long original traditionally-animated short. We began pre-production in June and ended production in November.
Most of the animation was done with paper and pencil. The second and third shot, however, were animated digitally using TVPaint Pro and a Wacom 21UX Cintiq. The Magician in the last shot was also animated digitally. All of the coloring was done digitally using Animo and After Effect was used for compositing.
Here is a link to the video:

If you also want to check out some of the concept art, character designs, and behind-the-scenes video, you can check out the blog we set up for the project.

I hope you enjoy it and please feel free to leave comments on the blog.
