Does anyone else like the idea of a hue/saturation/value jitter or brush control property?
Not something I *need*, but a cool idea, to be able to apply a spray with something like the "color variation" thing in Painter.

I think that it should be simple to add a Connections button next to the Anim box, that can be enabled whenever the option Random is chosen.
In this way, we would be able to assign the regular pen functions (speed, tilt, pressure etc) to control the amount of randomness. Plus, we could have an editable Profile to modulate randomness. ]
And like Peter suggested, maybe another link can be added - to a gradient. so according to a chosen gradient, the randomness will create colored/saturated stamps.

why not a regular connection.
using the A and B colors as the range.
in the profile you can then fine tune the way colors are sampled from that range.
in the first example; a random pick through the whole spectrum of the A/B gradient.
and in the second one:
from the red side of the gradient more red will be sampled when the pressure is increased but not in a lineair way (so 50% pressure will still be relatively purple
