New at TV Paint. What's a Dongle?

Post by kidcardona »

Hi All,
I'm new at TV Paint and at doing animation on a computer. I'm from the old school where we drew by hand on paper.
My question is, What's a dongle and how do I get one?

A dongle is a piece of hardware the programm searches for at every start. If it can't find it, it will close itself.

You get it by buying a licence of TVPaint.

A dongle is a small USB device, about the size of a thumb-drive, that contains licensing information for the software you are trying to run. Without the dongle, TV Paint will only let you run in demo mode for 30 days. If you don't have a dongle, you don't have a legal version of the program (or you downloaded the demo).

TVPaint 9 Pro will be greatly enhanced with the upcoming version TVP 9.5. If you are a contender for a seriously efficient paperless work flow, in other words ready to make the great leap into the new age of 2D animation while maintaining the graphics sensibilities of the Old World, I highly recommend you bite the bullet and go for the big one. This version will let you move through your productions with greater speed and (I swear by this) will quickly upgrade your drawing abilities to a higher level of skills than whatever you posses right now.
