T stumbled over something other people on other forums are going gha-gha over for reasons that fall flat on this swine. SO Just out of curiosity I am passing this pearl to someone who is less of a swine and might go gha-gha and make me happy.

Thanks for that link Paul!
DPaint on the amiga had a function ( i think it was called 'mirror' ) that did the same.
i remember spending lots of time trying to create figures that read both ways, even made animations with it, i loved doing that, very much like solving a puzzle,
i wouldn't mind if TVP manages to put it in somewhere, though i'm the first to admit that its practical use is questionable,

unless...of course you are a wallpaper designer...

Truthfully, I don't have an inkling of a sense of what it's about. I just noticed that it creates similar reactions elsewhere that you two express here and thought I might as well spread the light which I myself am blind to. I once read about Graham Green that he was incapable of enjoying the beauty taken in by sites, such as sunsets and gorgeous mountain panoramas and even hanging paintings, yet he lived at the top of Capri without ever knowing what he was gazing at -- but just by watching his visitors he could understand that it was a beauty that must exist yet which he was deprived of from birth.
