9.5 missing all text- I can't navigate/see selection boxs

Help!

I'm running an iMac Intel Core 2 Due, with OS X 10.6.1 and 8 gigs of ram. Attached I also have a Cintiq 20wsx.

I just installed the new TVP ANimation Pro 9.5 update, but now when it loads up my interface is missing all text information. Text is still visible for the os x pull down menus but not the internal ones. If I could navigate to my preferences I would have tried different settings but I cant see anything. Restarting the system didn't help. Neither did trashing the App and reinstalling it again.

Please help! What can I do?

cheers

its not the font color (normally black) because you then you would have to see some silhouette against the gradients.

It must be some mac bug. lets wait what the TVP team comes up with

It seems the localization file is missing or you have not the rights to access it. Have you an administration account or just a user one?

I'm running as an admin. What is a localization file and where should it be so I can search for it? At instal I had also ran the included Sentinel package that comes with the TVP 9.5 instal. Could it have something to do with this?

This bug only exists on MacOSX 10.6.x, but not on MacOSX 10.6.beta on which we tested !

We will fix it as fast as possible.

I installed an all new 10.6.1 with all the latest updates, and it works !

Are you sure you installed all the fonts ?
TVP Animation uses Arial, is it installed (accessible is another app) ?

Yes! The arial font was the problem! I went to font book and checked all of my fonts, there was an additional Arial font installed in a windows true type format. I removed the font and TVPaint came back online! wahoo!.... :D

Thank you all for the help! I'm very happy to have the program back. Case closed.

i'm off to go animate.

thanks a ton,

HELP!! I have the same problem but cannot resolve it. Could you explain in more detail how you identified and removed the Arial font that caused the problem? I have Arial fonts installed and they're all "Windows TrueType Fonts"

Do I have to get rid of them all?
Thanks!

SOLVED!
1. I copied Arial fonts from another Mac computer onto a folder on my USB Flash Drive. I made sure they were "suitcase files" and not individual "Windows TrueTypeFonts".
2. Back on my Macbook Pro, I opened FONTBOOK and removed ALL of my current Arial Fonts.
3. I then plugged in my USB Flash Drive. Using Fontbook, I loaded the Arial "suitcase files".
4. I crossed my fingers and started the TVPAINT program and... No more blank drop boxes!!

Thanks everyone!
