Does anyone else experience Wacom driver problems? I have to reboot my machine, or restart the wacom service constantly!
It seems that I lose pressure ( Windows 7 x64 ) with the latest few Wacom Cintiq drivers, all the time! Saving my preference file and re-importing it sometimes works, but other times doesn't..
The only thing that seems to work, is to delete my existing preference file, using the wacom preference file utility completely. If I restore my old saved preferences, .. the no pressure problem is back!
Anyone else having these issues? It seems like Wacom tech support is getting worse with time, rather than better..
Argh!

WACOM tablet driver's "Writing and restoration of wacom preference file" option awfully annoys us.CartoonMonkey wrote:The only thing that seems to work, is to delete my existing preference file, using the wacom preference file utility completely. I think that it take screen shots of setting panel before the update of the driver, the preference file is deleted, restart my Macintosh and latest driver install, and last tablet driver's newly setup it while seeing the screen shots than to use the option.

Re: Wacom driver problems!
I'm having a lot of problems with last few driver releases from Wacom. I have an intuos4 and I use the 6.1.1-3 driver version (win7 x64). It seems to be the version that most sustains the features I need, has the least annoying behavior and is most stable.

The latest one, as far as I know, is 6.1.2-5 and I have absolutely no problems with it on my Intuos 4.

Re: Wacom driver problems!
I guess this is how it should be (they wouldn't have released the driver if it hadn't worked for most people). But the driver doesn't cover all cases. I run a x64 OS, and I think you run x86 (32bit). As well, I am connecting my intuos4 to my laptop, which is a tabletPC and has a separate own wacom driver for it's digitizer to work. So I have 2 drivers running parallel, each one responsible of a different wacom. According to Wacom's forums many people have had issues with latest drivers and the support people are suggesting the 6.1.1 version as a "last known good" driver.Paul Fierlinger wrote:The latest one, as far as I know, is 6.1.2-5 and I have absolutely no problems with it on my Intuos 4.

AH, thanks for the clarification -- and, yes, I am a conservative when it comes to new operating systems. I have no other choice, being technologically challenged and still in the woods when it comes to hardware functions.
