Yes and no. No it will not save a file that will say '300dpi' when you load it up in photoshop for example, it would load as 72dpi. Yes you could work with other DPI's in TVPaint, but it will always save out as a 72 dpi image, you just have to do some math.
8 x 10 @ 72 dpi = tvpaint resolution of: 576 x 792
8 x 10 @ 300 dpi = tvpaint resolution of: 2400 x 3300

Hello, I'd like to talk about the same problem appearing when I want to work in HDTV. I want to treat the created images in an external compositing application. Sometimes I decide to add somme truck ins which weren't planned. That's why when working in the traditionnal way on paper I allways scan with a higher resolution and a bigger image size than really needed. Knowing that all images exported from TVPaint will have the resolution of 72dpi I'll choose a bigger image size in order to compensate this. Like you told me.
But if I want to work in 1920x1080 and I if want to get images with at least 100dpi the project will have to have a size of about 2880x1620pixels (1,5 x 72dpi = 108dpi and 1,5 x 1920x1080p = 2880x1620p). That's not a problem yet. But when drawing at this size I'll have to unzoom until 33% (I've a 19 inch screen). And this pixelates the image quiet strongly, so I can't draw properly. I know that it is not possible at the moment. But I would really like to have the possibility to draw in my 1920x1080p project with a zoom of 75% (that's ok, the image doesn't pixelate to much and it fits to my screen) and to export it with a higher resolution than 72 dpi.
Do you think that it could be feasible in a future version of TVPaint?
Bye
