Latest job finished

Just finished today, after a very short production time of just 3 weeks. Only the character animation was done in TVP, everything else in Anime Studio. It's basically cutout animation. The client is happy, and so am I.

I wrote in detail about technical aspects over there:

Congratulations - if they are happy, you've done a good job (for them).
Imo, I like the cute character design for this commercial.
I am not so sure with all the graphs and diagrams which seems to be a little bit boring but that may depend of your client. I don't like the backgrounds (the yellow ocher strokes) which is pointing to old style and retro films - so for me the client's office software solutions has a smack of retro and is I ask myself "can this product really be suitable for modern economy ?"

Valuable points. Thing is, we spent a good amont of time imagining our target audience. I guess it will be around 1000 - 2000 viewers. Those who we want to watch it are middle management types, not really tech savvy, not too familiar with technology buzzwords, but keen to "save money" and "save time" and "avoid problems". A simple mindset in that respect. That's why we chose to heavily play with clichées, like the IT guy in a T-shirt typing only with his index fingers.
My client is refreshingly honest in this aspect, and his description of the target audience I will print out and frame it ...
The graphs and diagrams have really no content. They do not represent actual flow diagrams of the software, nor do they really explain anything. They're much like animated bullet points in Powerpoint ... they just have to catch the viewer's eye. This is a much different approach from telling a story.

I was just going to post this same thought. In my experience with the making of instructional/promotional films there are times when clever and even witty and funny storylines get in the way. It is a false premise to think that entertainment always serves instructors well.

Very nice! Love to mix TVP and Anime Studio. (I did this on my last job.)
I will be in Germany sometime in September for my honeymoon, and throughout Europe for a month or so. Maybe I will try and say hello...
Beautiful work!
