When animating on paper I use to draw with a soft pencil (5B) for my roughing. When the image becomes too messy I use a kneedable eraser to soften the image, so I can continue on the same drawing.
In TVP at the moment I work similar, using a broad eraser to soften the image a bit.
I was wondering if there is a shortcut possible to apply this effect over the whole image in one go. It would speed up the workflow.
So basically it would come down to an "erase image" but applied for only 50%. Should be possible with a simple script, but since I know peanuts from scripting (since I am half braindead) help is needed.
Thanks to whomever is first.

Re: shortcut to erase image 50%
Hm, I'd use the "filling shape" tool with mode set to erase and opacity 50%. I think you should be able to make this into a handy tool button.

Re: shortcut to erase image 50%
sounds logical. Thanks. I'll twist my brainless head around it this afternoon.

YES! THIS IS IT! (feels a bit like Michael Jackson...hope I survive)or use the paint bucket at opacity 50% and range set to 255
thanks!
Re: shortcut to erase image 50%
Works a treat for me with the Paint Bucket tool set at 50%. You have to make sure the Painting Mode is set to Erase (or just right click with the paint bucket tool).
Edit: Oh - you deleted your post! Now my post makes no sense!
