Load a sound to a specific frame in timeline?

Post by dperro »

Is it possible to load a sound file to a specific frame along a timeline or will it always be loaded onto the first frame of the clip?

No, not to a frame, but to a specific clip and then you can slide the track to a specific frame and lock it there.

Sorry for the delay. Yes, I saw it when it premiered at the Ottawa Festival a couple years ago. I spoke with you right after the show and talked about TV Paint. I teach it in my classical animation program in Vancouver. I'm also a dog person: http://sassythesheltie.blogspot.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Can't wait to see what you're doing next. Good luck at the Oscars!

It is 30 minutes long (WIP really) so may take 10 or 15 minutes to download.
Hmm, this link seems not to work anymore. :(
Paul, do you still have something online ?

Ah! Replace Slocum with SL -- not the latest version but it still makes my point.

You're not kidding either! Quite the opposite of Ackerley. I used to train my dogs with similar passion many years ago but dropped the habit and decided to enjoy them just as they come; my dogs don't understand a simple command such as "sit!" but most of the time will come when I call them. My latest work is in my answer to Fabrice.

I was just covering that subject with my students; how to animate a person walking towards and away from the camera. Both amount to about the same.

My grandfather used to say :
"les visites, ça fait plaisir deux fois… une fois, quand les visiteurs arrivent…
… et une autre fois, quand ils repartent !"
(Too bad for you, he could only speak french… but believe me, You would have liked this joke … if translated into english * :D )

"How to animate a person walking towards and away from the camera ?"

… well !… Take a "poser3D walking stuff", do a render, and use it as a template in TVP ! :D
(No! not on the head !… I was just kiddin')

* "visits" are twice a pleasure… first when the visitors arrives…
and then, when they leave.
kêkchosekomssa ! :D

The most common mistake is not to keep one foot always firmly on the ground, and it helps beginners to make little stage marks where each step should fall properly relevent to the perspective, so the character doesn't rush the door or the camera.

That's why it's easier to do medium close-up
