How to PAN selected layers only ? +Suggestion

Hi All !
I have a project where this character split into many layers.
There are few layers I want to "move" manually frame by frame but I couldn't find a way to do it, for example:

I have the Head layer, face layer, and Hair layer.
I selected the 3 layers, and used to Panning Tool... but it only moved the last selected layer...
I don't use the transform tool and the Warp tool because when I hit enter, the result is very blurry which isn't what I want.

Is there any way I can select the specific layers I want and Pan them together manually ? (Just like the Panning Tool)

Just a small Suggestion.
As I playing with TVP I always think about new features that can help frame-by-frame paperless animators (I have so many other ideas... but for now let's just talk about one).

I think that my suggestion may be VERY useful for all TVP users !
Maybe you can add a Group option, to Group selected layers into 1 ?
(Like in Photoshop or other applications) it will be so much easy to control the project layers (especially if you have so many layers).

Thanks :D

Hi dan,

What you can do to move your layer :

1 - Select the PAN tool.
2 - Select one layer to move and move it.
3 - Select another layer to move and hit ENTER. The same moving will be applied. Do the same for all layers you want to move.

I have tried too with the Transform tool and Warp tool and I don't have any blur. Maybe you don't have the last version. You can download it here.

Thank you for your suggestion. We take care about all user's suggestions.

Have a nice day.

Thanks for the reply.

But what you explained is what I did... moved layer... by layer...
I must have them (all layers) move together in 1 action, not one by one...

Any way to do it ?

BTW - I got the latest version installed :)

Thanks !

here is a script for that :
Left click = pan
Right click = WrapPan

WoW !!
Thank you so much for making this script, it's a huge time saver !
I highly recommand everybody to use it if your project contain many layers !

I wonder if there is a way, if you have the time of course to make another version of the same script but that it will work like the "Panning Tool" ?

when I use the panning tool, I don't click "enter" I just pan... and move to the next frame :)
so I see the layer in realtime as I pan it anywhere.

and with the script you just created it makes a line and when I leave the LMB it will bring the layers into the spot.

Any chance to make it pan all the layers in realtime or it's a lot of work and complicated to make ? I know it's kind of rude to ask because you already helped me so much ! but if there is a chance somebody can make the next level of this script pan in realtime (Just like the Panning Tool) it will be awsome.

Thanks once again, this forum rocks !!!

I just tested the script. Big timesaver indeed!!!!
Easy workflow.
I agree though, that it would be very helpful if there was a realtime preview,
so you can accurately drop the content of the layer.
But i must say, this is already a very helpful script.
thanks a lot for the idea and the execution of it, and i recommend this to anyone who splits up characters or other in several layers.

I havent tried the script yet.
it sure sounds very usefull!

another way would be to simply export the projectdisplay to another project using the keyframer.
but....off course this has the disadvantage that all layers become merged and it is no longer possible to seperately move the parts

Nice job Tantalus !
Thanks for making and sharing this ! 8)

Let's hope that we'll see the next generation of this script soon ! (I wish I knew scripting in TVP but.. It's too complicate for me)
