Hi, well, its a really simple thing, but its getting so frustrating to me :(
Thing is, I dont know how to add a new frame :/ tried creating a shortcut but isnt working, searched here and nothing again.
Searched inside the program, but i get so frustrated I end closing it.
Please help, its pretty simple ( I guess )
Thanks! :)

It's not an uncommon question for a newbie. There are a few ways to do this and it also depends on which verion of TVP you have and if you have a PC or MAC. The most basic way is to RMB on top of the layer, select Insert image and enter 1. Or make a key command:
Layer: Insert Single Image After Current Image.
Then there's a button for this in the Animator Panel and another in the Instance Panel (a plugin).

The fact is that each added frame is actually an insert when you take into consideration that an instance can be broken into at any place along the timeline, not just directly after a pre-existing frame. But I can't blame you for at first looking for the conventional. If you look for the Instance Panel plugin you'll find a couple more ways to insert/break into an instance such as "Break" and "Break&Clear. Break looks like a copy of the image to the left and Break&Clear breaks in but also clears the frame so that it looks like the conventional "add" frame. This is why I asked you which version of TVP you are working with -- not all have this. Perhaps reading the manual can break you faster into this way of seeing a timeline.

I think, Paul, this was your most condensed use of the word "break" ever. Your breakiest paragraph.

In hindsight I see that I should have mentioned to best read the manual at breakfast.

Hi there, I am as newbie as they can ever come, just got my TVPaint package a couple of days ago.

I'm working on a sequence now but decided to add a frame BEFORE the first frame on the timeline- and can't seem to find how to do this!
Sorry in advance for the silly question, and thank you very much for your patience.

On version 11, hold shift before you click on "add 1 instance" in the Handy Custom panel.
