TVPaint at SIGGRAPH Vancouver

Although the TVP team didn't go to SIGGRAPH this year, Capilano University (from North Vancouver) had a booth in the Exhibit Hall and demonstrated how we use TVP to keep the hand drawn tradition alive! Here's a short video (no sound) of our booth. The Wacom team was there and were excited about our set up using flexible arms attached to our traditional animation unit and Cintiqs instead of animation light tables. They'll be doing a story on us in October. Here's a link to a video of our booth.

Those flexible arms look nice, but do they support my body weight?

I'm constantly suffering if I forget to watch my work position. Cintiq on table is good, but still not optimal for drawing. One day I will build the perfect digital animation table (and mass produce it and get filthy rich) with enough areas for arm rests, keyboard, mouse, and everything else I need. One day. Promised.

Hi Don,

Excellent job ! I wish I could be there to demonstrate the TVPaint too ...
The man on fire is very fun ! :)

Will you be in the Ottawa Animation festival ? We will have a small booth in the TAC, and I look forward to meet you. ;)

I guess Wacom enjoyed this unusual way of using a Cintiq.

Fabrice, glad to hear you will be at Ottawa this year. Any chance you are you also going to be at CTN Animation Expo in Burbank this year ?

I think I will probably have a trip in California in october/november.
If it's possible, I will visit the event. :)
