I am working on a 10 second composition with H.264 compressed .MOV files. TVPaint is almost always "Not Responding", blanking out. And I only have 3 layers so far, each with about 4 seconds of footage.
The project is 1920 x 1080, 25fps PAL Progressive.
I have a brand new Hex Core Intel processor at 2.4 Ghz (6 cores), 24 GB of RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, brand new Nvidia GeForce card with 4GB of onboard RAM. What settings can I adjust in TVPaint to have it address as much power as possible?
thanks!

Hi matthewchapman,
TVPaint should work fine with your configuration. So what are you doing when TVPaint is "Not Respoding" ?
We need to know your complete version number of TVPaint ( Help -> About TVP Animation -> Title Bar ).
