Did it get changed to an image layer, it was an anim layer before?

I figured out what it was. I had them all set on some different layer type.
Now, for some odd reason I can't use my pen.
Works in other documents, but not this one.
Starting to get frustrated. :/ theprogramshouldbealotmoreuserfriendlyandintuative.

What do you mean "you can't use your pen"? You can't draw on any of the layers? What is the drawing mode set for each layer? Do you have an erase brush selected?

figured it out again, I clicked the little box on the layer and that made it impossible to draw on. hahahhahaha
I'm learning, i'm learning.

You have to give us more information to help you get started. Usually the problems are associated with a new user pushing too many buttons and not returning them to their original state. If you push a button and "it does nothing" it usually has changed something you aren't aware of. When you run into a problem such as my pen isn't doing anything, look at the Tool settings. Does it still say "color" under the icons of the various pens, or something else, like "erase"? Look at the layer panel; is your cursor on a frame, or off the layer where it can't draw anything?

Hey no problem, it's a pretty complex piece of software, there's a bit of a learning curve!

There is. I grasped it pretty quickly so far. lol.
I didn't understand stand how frames worked in it first. I had to redo animation because I had already went and made every single individual frame. lol. So used to animating in photoshop

Once you figure out your workflow, you'll find this app is a lot better for animating than Photshop

Well i'm alreayd pretty excited about it since it cuts out redlineprep and other post production things. I can color a hell of a lot easier in it, which is awesome too.
So i'm really excited. I might actually finish a film this year. hahah4

What ? nobody here already found the solution ?
Your just have to zoom in you timeline ("Z" button or Alt + RM + move on the right). As your timeline is currently zoom out, the layer is thiner and cannot display the handles
Zoom in and you will see the handles again
