TVP doesn't remember window position (on Mac) [Solved]

I'm on MacBook Pro with a Cintiq as a secondary screen, and as far as I know - TVPaint doesn't remember window position, so that every time I open the program, I need to drag it to my Cintiq screen.
Would be great if that would work in future versions.
Thanks

I have experienced that problem in the past (I'm on a Macbook Pro , Mac OS 10.6, with Cintiq 21 UX and latest updated Wacom driver for Cintiq on Mac OS.) .

Here is my solution:

1.) Open a new project in TVPaint. If the TVPaint window is on the Macbook screen pull it over to the Cintiq.
2.) click the shiny Green button in the upper left part of the window to expand TVPaint to fill the Cintiq screen from edge to edge.
3.) now draw something in the Project window (it can just be a line or a circle ) , and now SAVE the Project as TVP_test_01.tvpp or Untitled.tvpp , whatever you name it.
4.) Now close the project and Quit from TVPaint.

5.) Now restart TVPaint. If this worked then it should open up on your Cintiq screen.

That is how I have fixed this problem in the past.

Eric - are you on MacBook Pro, or on a desktop Mac?

Nope - didn't work... :(

Should we move this thread to Tech support forum? Or can somebody with MacBook Pro confirm my problem?

Here is one more thing to try:

In System Preferences make sure your Display arrangement is like this:
Cintiq_Macbook_Arrangement.jpg
Cintiq_Macbook_Arrangement.jpg (77.69 KiB) Viewed 21134 times

HO HO !!! That Worked! :) Wouldn't ever think of it! I wonder - what's wrong with the Cintiq being on the right side? I hope not political reasons :)

I'm having a similar problem on Linux (Ubuntu 11.04), using nVidia TwinView. I use TVP spread across both screens, so my drawing area is on the left screen and the timeline is on the left screen. but whenever I open TVP it always opens on the left screen only and I need to stretch it across each time I open it, is there a way to save the window size and position and have it open across both screens? I realize this may be a limitation of TwinView....

I don't know about your particular situations, but in all my experiences with our own computers and those of my students, the issue is always with the graphics card.

All MacBook Pros use nVidia Gforce - I suppose the problem might be with this specific card. But the thing is, that all other programs do remember their windows positions, except TVPaint - that's why I supposed it was a problem in TVPaint.

TVPaint does not depends on graphic card, so it shouldn't be influenced.

What is strange is that it works for some people, and not others.
The bad news is that it works on all our computers, so I really can't see what's going wrong when either saving or restoring the window position...
