export avi: tvp10
when i export an avi file to my desktop or to the folder containing my tvp10 file the file does not appear. The software tells me the file exists and asks if i want to overwrite it however i am not able to see the avi file on my computer. I'm new at this and will appreciate any direction.

Hello Louie, welcome to the TVPaint community =)
er... did you try via your the Finder ? Maybe the file is "out" of your screen.

Well I tried too, and can not reproduce the problem.louierich1111 wrote:when i export an avi file to my desktop or to the folder containing my tvp10 file the file does not appear. Do you have any filter activated when displaying your folder content (such as viewing only .png images, etc ...)
Did you try to refresh your folder after saving ?

Re: export avi: tvp10
I suggest you create a folder for your AVIs in a clearly defined place on your HD and send your AVI to it. If the avi icon (usually it's the icon of your video carrier, such as WMV or VLC.) won't show up there, then this is a mystery -- otherwise it is easy for such a small file to be tucked away, just off screen or under some other icon on the desktop.

Re: export avi: tvp10
This may be alien to you if you are a traditional Mac user, but you can open a console window (don't remember what it's called on the Mac, "terminal"?) and get a Unix command-line and navigate to the directory where you expect your file to be and use "ls -lart" to list the files in the current directory in chronological order. If it shows there, then it exists and something is screwy with the GUI, the icon has been filtered or is hidden or something. If the file starts with . it might be hidden by the GUI.
