Sticky display of certain layers

I really love the Show all layers or show only current selected layer function (that "H" button in the display settings of the layer manager)
but I wondered if it was possible to improve this behaviour to assign soms layers to be always visible regardless of this mode. By marking these layers in some way, they remain visible.

This because when you are cleaning on different layers (arms, head and so forth) you can set 1 or more layers as reference layer to clean the lines from. And quickly switch between the layers automaticly hiding the objects not needed on that layer, that are already cleaned, but still showing the reference layers that you need always.

Another example is for comparing different colors against the same lineart (on seperate layer) quickly.this makes it a one button operation to check and flip between multiple versions of same lineart.

If this is not possible I would like to make it a request.

So simply said: an option for certain layers to ignore the "show only current" behaviour.
without adding more to the UI it could be placed in the visibility button (the green-red one). And for example is activated by CTRL+Clicking the visibility button on the layers which need to be exluded. And you could get some green cube with an H in it,or even another color (blue?). Clicking it again would remove/toggle this function.

Yes, you can do this in TVP-10 using the "eye" icon at the top of the layers heads. You select which layers you want activated/deactivated by giving them group colors.

Following are the options (understand "Group" as defined by common color)

Display Current [toggles between Current and All activated]
Activate all Layers
Inactivate all Layers
Activate Current Group's Layers
Inactivate Current Group's Layers
Activate Other [Remaining] Group's Layers
Inactivate Other [Remaining] Group's Layers

Then you have similar options for groups you want to have Displayed or Hidden; Locked or Unlocked, Alpha function activated or Inactivated, and Stencils Activated/Inactivated.

Many functions in TVP-10 are designed along these lines. for instance (just to whet your appetite :) )in KeyFramer you can set which layers you want the current set of keys applied to at the same time:

Current Layer
Current Group
All Layers

When selecting the layers of a group, you can work on the instances/exposure, timing, etc ... on one layer and it will be reported automatically on the others.

Some new options are also planed.
