Annecy annoucement in English?

Perhaps a small peeve, nevertheless one that is indicative of the mindset of Annecy fest. organizers; they have just announced on these forums the opening of a new category which they posted in the appropriate languages to the French, German and Spanish language forums ... but as is there unspoken policy, nothing in English --- ugh and pouah!

Another proof of AnnecyOff's bad communication management...
In fact, it hasn't any connection with the real festival in Annecy. Some people are trying to make an "Annecy off" (off the real festival), not organized by Citia, that will happen at the same time than the Festival in Annecy.
Their main offer is to propose a contest dedicated to people under 25. The purpose of that contest ? Making for free a clip video for 2 singers (Emilie Simon or Charlie Winston). The best one will be the official clip of those singers and will have the great privilege of being approved by Universal Music and say in their Curriculum Vitae "I made for free a clip for Universal Music, so I can continue to work for free !".
Don't worry Paul, you are not missing something important. They already spammed another famous French forum about animation, where many animators tried to explain them how bad this contest could be on the long range.

Thanks for the heads up, Elodie. Interesting that they target the under 25 animators -- is that the cutoff age between guilable and wise?
I thought it was 16.
