Weird bug - importing new footage actually imports old file

I have exported a QT movie from Premiere CS4 (H.264, AAC) and then imported it into TVPaint (both video and sound). Then I've changed the original in Premiere and exported again. In TVPaint I have deleted the previously imported footage and imported the new one. But what I got was that TVPaint still loadeed the old footage (both sound and video). Since the original file was long gone, I suppose that TVPaint got stuck on some old temp file, instead of importing the new one. After several manipulations with reimporting the footage again and again TVPaint finally crashed, which is extremely rare.
I suppose that the QT file might have been bad, but anyway it is strange that TVPaint loaded old footage instead of new.

Mhm? Sounds strange.
If I would be in this trouble I would give the new Quicktime a different name than the old one and try again.

On Mac OSX sometimes new file names are not recognized unless you once open and close the folder it's in (in the finder). After that the file system is updated and TVP will recognize the file.

Here it happened to me again.
This time with another MOV file with another codec.
Renaming the file, and even moving it from folder to folder didn't help – I suppose Macs keep track of files no matter what you do...
Had to restart TVP again.
