how do i redisplay it/ reset all the display?

You have to give us more information; which version of TVP; MAC or PC, what kind of computer; tablet, laptop, desktop? What have you tried already to open the timeline notes?

Carefully hover vertically over the top of the timeline window. When an arrow appears, click and drag. This way you open the notes timeline as well as the sound timeline which are hidden there.
