I haven't shared anything in ages, so I figured I would show my latest reel.

A lot of the stuff in your reel looks rotoscoped or is it just me?

Whoa, I missed this. I don't have the tools to do rotoscoping the way I would like to, but I definitely like to shoot as much video reference as I can. It really depends on the type of story I am doing though. Obviously it doesn't work everywhere. My ideal, I guess, would be something along the lines of the film Jin-Roh, or the intro sequence from Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's Door, both done by Hiroyuki Okiura. He, however, claims he uses no rotoscoping.

Ya, I think reference footage is really important, especially for poses. Then I guess you just studied your footage good.

I bought the DVD of Jin Roh a year ago, but everytime I try to watch it something happened, what interrupts me. And I have to find time to start again. Maybe a curse.
