If this already exists excuse my ignorance:

I am looking for a function that can automatically go to the next instance as soon as i lift my stylus of the tablet.(no buttons pressed)

So as soon as i make a mark or erase something and lift the stylus it progresses to the next instance.
This would really help speed up cleanup and colouring....

Couldn't you assign the button on the stylus to "next frame"?

Yes, i have tried that. but i was hoping to skip that step. It would make a huge difference when you have to change a little part in 10000 instances. (like im doing right now lol)

I have right hand on the tablet, left hand on the arrow key. Fast enough.

or using an usb foot-pedal ?

Why not add a breath controller and a MIDI keyboard, just to extend the possible range of expressions? *fg*

Thats what i currently do as well. I find it faster than using the stylus button. I can definitely flip through the frames fast enough, but im going so fast that i'll skip some frames that needed treatment. With the feature i proposed you would never miss a frame from hitting the arrow key to often and fast. And the timing for "Go to next instace" would be faster than humanly possible
This could be used for touch ups and where you need to go over a large number of frames only making a single mark at a time, or dropping color.

won't the CTRL key do it?

I'm not really convinced. Even when I do minor corrections of only 1 stroke, i miss often enough that I need to go back. Your proposed feature would make this worse. I think it's easiest you just train your left/right hand coordination.

My coordination is very fast. This may not be a feature you would use. I would. There are simple things that would be impossible to miss if using a larger eraser size than brush. it may not be for you but i would certainly like to do one less step every frame -makes a big difference in the long run.

CTRL is keyless in the sense that you have to keep it pressed only once (but constantly) during the touch up.
so if you only have to erase certain spot you can choose freehand dot and keep CTRL pressed, now you can click and release and tvp will jump to the next frame automaticly.
but its very touchy so you might have to reset your wacom to be a bit less sensitive.

Yes, thank you. With "stroke animator" turned on in preferences this is very close to what im thinking. It would be better for my purposes if it would go to the next frame only after the stylus was lifted from the tablet. currently it jumps to the next frame mid stroke.
