TVPaint 10 - keyframer question

Post by hellofilms »

New to TVpaint ( but worked for many years with animation).
Trying to use the Keyframer. Not so easy to understand.
I managed to to a motion with two keyframes. But when I apply the fx the original images stays on it´s original place and there is a copy of that image moving.
How come?

Are there any tutorial on this feature?

All FXs in TVPaint apply to the current layer, without clearing it. This is not specific to the keyframer, and is in fact needed if you want to apply a full stack of FXs at once.

To do what you want, you must create an empty layer, make it current, select the layer with your original artwork as "source" in the Keyframer, apply the FX Stack, then hide the layer with the original artwork.

This may sound complicated, but once you've done a few times, it's quite natural, and the day you want to reuse your original drawing, you'll be happy it is still there in a hidden layer !
(Unless you have deleted it after applying the FX...)
Quicktime is DEAD. Get over it and move on !

Solved myself.
I need to choose the FX-stack as source file.
Any other good tips when working on motion?
