Hello !
I wasn't allowed to search right now in the forum, so i'm sorry if this question has been asked many times before.
I opened a file, which has been created on a different computer (but with the same system and all those things as the one i'm using), which apparently has developped this interface-feature that is rather inconvenient for me, since i like to have the timeline visible while i work.
It does not happen in any other files, than in the files that are created on that other computer. What it does is, that it has this white bar in the top of the view port, and when i play the file it disappears, but when i work on a frame it's there. when i move the "canvas" up, it will be covered by the white frame, and i cannot work on the part that is covered by the white bar.
How do i make the white bar disappear?
PS. the computer on which the file was created has the white bar in all the files now, as if it was part of the normal interface.
PPS. if i create a new file on my own computer, and copy the layers from the "white bar project" and paste them into the new project on my computer, the white bar is not transfered to the new project.

[solved] White bar in the view port - bug??
Re: White bar in the view port - bug??
That's the timeline note "Layer".
Go to the "Display" menu qt the bottom right of the preview area, and deselect "Show Timeline Note".
You should read the manual, timeline notes are a very powerful tool.

Quicktime is DEAD. Get over it and move on !
