Hello all!
I had some issues with TVP 10 32bit on both my laptop and my desktop Apple computers
a)A Macpro v1.1 (2x2.66) with 11GB of RAM and a Quadro FX4500
b)A Macbookpro
These two computers had Snow Leopard so i decided to upgrade
Unfortunately the MacPro is quite old so i cannot get Mountain Lion Installed (so i did install Lion 10.7.5)
It is a fresh install so there is plenty of disk room available
The gpu (QuadroFX4500) has issues with TVP 10 32 bit when OpenGL is on (complete crash) but also with other applications like Cinema4D and Lightwave
(so i cannot be sure if the issue is TVP oriented)
TVP 9.5 works fast and easy with no delays on the brush.
TVP10 32bit (latest build) is slow and the brush doesn't follow the cursor (when i zoom in and draw) even on light projects.
TVP 10 32bit has also a problem with the preferences (it seem that each time i restart TVP i have to find and disable Wheel mouse button shortcut since it changes the Brush size as i draw with my Wacom tablet)
I tried TVP10 64bit and although i have some issues (it seems that the pan (alt+click&drag) or zoom in/out on the canvas is "stepped" and not smooth) BUT i get no delay
on the brush following the cursor.
I am thinking on installing windows on this Machine ((

Re: Issues with TVP 10 (32bit) on Mac
by the way since this is a kind of a follow up of a former post/problem i had with Snowleopard
here is video explaining the -delay- i am experiencing
(the issue is the same on the MacPro with OSX Lion 10.7.5)

Re: Issues with TVP 10 (32bit) on Mac
Are you sure you have the latest version of TVPaint (10.0.11) ?
Quicktime is DEAD. Get over it and move on !
Re: Issues with TVP 10 (32bit) on Mac
Yes ematecki it is the latest version !
bu deduction i guess that the "delay"
is
a)memory issue
(i don't have it on the 64bit version that apparently recognizes more RAM)
b)gpu issue
