Update 10.0.13

Has anybody noticed that this update goes very heavy on the processor and is therefore a is a bit more unresponsive than 10.0.12?
I first noticed that TVP was slower with the update and when I turned on my Task Manager (windows7) I saw that the processor often runs at 60-80% whereas with the same project in TVP 10.0.12 it went no higher than
30-40%.
(I'm on an i720, 12 GB ram, windows7.)

Mhm, I made the update two days ago and noticed, that there is sometimes the performance lagging a bit. Didn't thought about this behaviour is coming from the update - but will have a closer look now. Thanks for mentioned it.

You know, you might be onto something. I'm beginning to notice jerky playback in my project window and one very noticeable occurrence: I use a script to swap between an eraser and a pen as I draw -- I must do this swap a hundred times a day and I'm beginning to notice that sometimes a slight hesitation occurs between the tap on my keyboard and the actual swap taking place. Some gaps are actually quite lengthy... hmmm... Anyone else?

I went back to 10.0.11 to check. It's definitely smoother.

How did you downgraded? I have the last updates saved on my pc. Do I have to deinstall the whole TVPaint and so on, or is there a direct way to overwrite the 10.0.13 with a 10.0.11 update file?

I just overwrote it with the previous version and it worked.

Yes, also experiencing a delay - remarkable, as this is the first time I can recall TVP stuttering at all! I'm used to it in Photoshop...

Hmm, that's quite strange!
All of you are running TVPaint Animation 10 Pro 64 bit, on Windows 7, aren't you ?
Do the problems remain if you are working with the 32bit version ?
Is anyone on older Windows, Mac or Linux experiencing the same thing ?

I experienced the delays on the Public release and went back to Beta.

Hi there,
Is it a delay when using the playback or is it a delay when you paint ?

In my case there was no delay on playback; just in switching between pen and eraser and occasionally when drawing the stylus would "trip". I would call all my experiences "hesitations".

hmmm, what you you mean by "trip" ?
Are you using TVPaint Animation 32 bits or 64 bits ?

When I draw, my line will suddenly stop and then catch up, giving a sensation of tripping over a bump in the paper. The same when using Svengali's SWAP script to switch between pen and eraser; it often makes me wait for the switch to occur. I am going back to the public version now to verify these lags.

After switching, first thing that happens is that playback works with hesitations as well; it's a kind of stop and go playback with very small stops every few frames.
