Image import issue

Hey all,
I've searched the whole forum but couldn't find the problem I'm experiencing with importing image sequences to TVP 10.0 (trial version). Maybe someone can help me out.
I try to import a jpg-sequence which is named image_001.jpg to image 016.jpg (sequential number). If I drag the first image from the finder to TVP, the import-panel appears, it says mark-in to mark-out 0 to 15. I deselect the single-image-option and click on the import-button. So far, everything seems to be fine. But after that, nothing happens on the canvas until I select the brush-tool. Now the first image appears and sticks to the cursor. If I click or hit enter, the next image of the sequence appears, still following the cursor. If I switch to another tool, e.g. the transform tool, the images disappear off the canvas and I just see them in the thumbnail on the timeline (which is still just one though a sequence had been imported). Maybe there's a simple solution that I'm just not seeing.
Thanks in advance!
Hanna
