TV Paint 10 Won't Launch

I upgraded to TVP 10 a while back and have kept 9.5 on my PC (so I can still output to quick times if I want) it has worked fine for months. Last time I opened it I got this error

and now neither of them will open at all - any ideas?

Sorry I bypassed the read me before post Specs are as follows:

Windows 7 Pro
64 Bit OS
10 GIgs Ram
Intel Core i7 CPU 930@2.8 GHZ

hello Hilary, is it when you open a specific file ? or when you launch the software ?

Just opening the software - no file involved. Should I just re - install?

OK so an update on this issue - my adobe software wouldn't launch either so I cleaned the PC (Cookies, temp files, defrag, and a scan for issues) rebooted and now I can open Adobe and TVP will launch but I am still getting the bad file error. Don't get it...

If it keeps happening I will - the Adobe issue makes me think that something else is going on with my system

if you hold the ctrl key when starting, then the startup panel should appear.
once in the panel, try to reset the configuration, it might help.

Do you mean starting up the system and resetting the config - or do you mean when specifically starting TVP?
