Smoothing options do not appear

Hello, I am very new to this program and am trying to figure out some basic things.

First, smoothing functions do not appear at the bottom of the Shape Settings panel:

Second, when I go to an empty frame and try to draw, it does not automatically create a new instance:

Any suggestions?

Update your software and it should appear. It didn't become a feature until a later version.

You are using TVP 9 but must be using something older than version 9.5. I don't think the auto-create instance feature was available in that version. Line smoothing I think became available in version 9, but I think only 9.5 and higher. You should upgrade to the latest version of 9.5

Okay, I thought maybe I was missing a setting or something!

To be more precise, everything under 10.0.0 won't have this feature :p
