I haven't been here for about a 100 years, but I'm back to working with TVP (not just drawing). I see that I'm pretty far behind in understanding the software. For one thing, I can get a hold of my time line and collapse it to just, say 20 frames) there 's no way to grab the end of it and make it smaller. I loved to move it around the my 2 screens as needed, but it seems fixed now. I read the instructions but am baffled. Is it true that you can no longer create just, say, a 20 frame timeline. I can grab the left side, but not the the right.
I am moving through the tutorials now so I will save my other questions to see if I get answers from my study of the manual.

Double click on the top part of the frame of the layers panel to set it afloat.

Thanks, and hello, Paul. I somehow solved it just before you answered but I don't know how I did it. It's good to have something conscious to do if I lose it again. Warmly...Sierra

Re: time line panel confusion
Many changes have been developed, especially in TVP 10 Pro. Back when we worked with Mirage I used to think that there isn't much left to do to make it better to work with and looking at Mirage today makes me wonder how I ever managed with it.

Re: time line panel confusion
yes I kept receiving new versions and updates, feeling tantalized to see what was new and being pulled in too many other directions. Now I feel like I am sitting down to a delicious banquet, I just have to learn how to use the right fork. I eagerly anticipate catching up. I'm not terribly surprised since I always expect great things from our TVP friends.

Thanks. I have spent several years simply learning to draw while in a swirl of life changes. I finally realized I'll never master drawing so might as well go with the skills I have. Anyway the itch is back to get into TVPaint and have great fun telling stories through animation again. I feel so happy to be re-engaging my love affair with TVPaint. Don't laugh, I feel a tingle of excitement when I pick up my stylus.
