TVP Dongle not working

Post by kh_eh »

Hello. I am trying to use my TVP dongle on my new iMac, but it is not reading the dongle.
The TVP workspace pops up, but I also get the error message that "TVP dongle is not present at this port", even though it is plugged in and the light at the tip is on and green.
I installed the sentinal super driver, as another thread suggested, but it has not helped.
I still have the installation CD, but my new computer doesn't have a CD drive.
It worked fine on my previous computer, a 2008 macbook.
Any advice?

TVPaint Animation will not run if it cannot find the dongle. This can happen if :
1: The Sentinel drivers for the dongle are not installed. Download and install the latest drivers from Safenet's website.
2: The dongle is not correctly plugged into the USB port (The green light on a dongle will light up if it is properly connected to a working USB port.)
3: The dongle is plugged into an inoperative USB port (The green light on a dongle will light up if it is properly connected to a working USB port.)
4: The dongle is plugged-into a hub with insufficient power. (Try plugging the dongle directly into a computer's USB ports, rather than a hub.)
5: The dongle is broken (rare!)
By the way...
