Menu items in weird places on OS X

Many menu items are in confusing places on OS X:

In the TVPaint Animation 10 Pro menu:
Preferences ⌘, (where it should be, except it doesn't work... it's only there in the 64 bit version)
Quit Animation 10 Pro ⌘Q (where it should be)

In the File menu:
Recent files (This is confusing, for a whole day I thought TVP didn't have this function because it was in a weird location, usually it's called "Open recent..." and is located right under the normal "Open" item)
Quit ⌘Q (not supposed to be in the "File" menu)

In the Edit menu:
Preferences ⇧D (not supposed to be in the "Edit" menu, weird shortcut, not possible to change to the normal shortcut, command comma, because it's not in the list)

(edited post, because Preferences wasn't the only weird menu item, added other items in a simple list)

TVPaint has the exact same interface, whatever if you are using Windows, Mac or Linux. We prefer this way than adapting the interface for all existing operating systems.

I understand that design choice, I guess it's easier that way.

I thought I'd fix it in the shortcut settings, but "cmd ," is unavailable. Is there a reason for this? Could it be added?

But usually, users use the preference panel to change something once and that's all... why do you need to open it so many times ?

True, but it should be easy to find when you finally need it ;) (and since command comma is where it always is, that's where you'd expect it)

There are some other menu items in the wrong place, I've added them to the first post.

hmmm, looks like many things are Mac specific.
Don't forget we keep the same on all platforms.

We will discuss with both dev and commercial team when in the new office, and will decide what to do.
