merging layers modes

Hi, i'm working on tvpaint 10.0.18 64 bits and i have a problem : i have problems with merging layers using different modes. at first i thought this was not working because whichever the mode the result was just simple basic color merge, then i thought i had to use the stamp option ( which i never did before) , then finally it appears that the problem is with the erase source option : when this is not activated, the different modes work fine, but with the option on ( and this is how i used to work), it messes everything up. Am i doing something wrong, or is there a bug ? please help, i miss the erase merging mode, which was part of my working flow ( i now have to uncheck the erase source and delete the layer afterwards).

on a side note, what happened to the preview play shortcut ? it works fine to play the preview but not to pause (when loop is activated of course). for that matter, any key used to pause (or stop? i cannot remember) the preview play, and now only the space bar pauses it. it's a bit of a pain :)

thanks

I'm not sure to understand, what do you call "erase source" ?
Please could you post an exemple of the problem ?

I don't have the bug on linux, but I need to check on windows.

Do you have the same with the 32 bits version of TVPaint ?
