Eraser tip only works on freehand tool

I don't know if it can be changed, or should be a feature request.
My eraser pen tip is set to erase, but when I choose any other tool than Freehand tool, this doesn't work any more, and both pen tips can only use 1 tool.
IMHO it's a big drawback, cause I find it very often necessary to erase something while using other tools, and every time I need to switch to freehand, or to select eraser. All the idea of the eraser pen tip somehow becomes almost useless here... Besides what is good for a pen to have same function on both ends anyway??

I don't know exactly how TVPaint detects the eraser on the stylus, but I think we can bypass the problem just by changing the the function of the eraser side of the sylus, in the Wacom parameters.

I changed "erase" to "d" (the hotkey used in TVPaint to draw). So, automatically, I can switch from the selection to the drawin tool in Erase mode.
Anyway, if you use then the lead side of the stylus, you will use the drawing tool + color mode (and not the selection anymore).

I have tried to change it to D - this doesn't improve the workflow at all, since I need to click twice to get the eraser and then I loose the initial tool on the main tip...
