My newest project is a spot against animal experiments (5 mins). It's so much fun to animate in TVP again ... here's a first small scene.

I was referring to the voluminous scatological aspect of My Dog Tulip.

BTW, I see what you are getting with by using that extreme economy of animation of yours and I think it's great. It sure beats the Goblin school of economy in animation. Yours is disarmingly honest because it works.

Wow, thank you.

Well, this project can't use any overacting, which would place it in the range of Happy Tree Friends and would completely miss the point. During development we decided that we couldn't be too realistic as well since ths would offend viewers and scare the kids. We settled on a quite neutral voice over with comic visuals, which give the necessary contrast to (and relief from) the sheer brutality of the content.

For the design I started from Pigs Is Pigs, where the guinea pigs are really just ovals with eyes and legs, and developed a whole range of animals. The textured shapes are lifted from Eric Carle, of course.

Here's the Brutal Scientist.

You know, his right side is fatter than his left. For such a symmetrical style as you have chosen it sticks out.
