customizing rooms

Post by bolty »

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how I can customize my tvp rooms please?

I would like to change the interface of my different rooms. for example, how do i get the remote-control bar on the bottom of my animation window? and how do i format so that my interface shows all my currently active projects in tabs at the top of my screen? I've been clicking around the program a lot but i must have missed something ..

Thank you in advance for the help!!!

I've actually been having this problem also. Is there a way to lock in the settings of one room for all of the rooms so that I don't have to go back and set each one individually?

Sorry, I completely forgot about that!

I go between two computers, a PC and a Mac

The PC is on Windows 7, and the Mac is 10.6 snow leopard
I am using TVPaint 10 Pro, version 10.0.18, 64bits for pc. I am not sure what i'm using on the Mac, probably 32?

Thank you~!

You are probably in Full screen mode.
If the icon with a screen (at the top) is in yellow, click on it to see the remote.

Juste reduce each project manually. to see several windows with all your active projects.

Nope. The interest of the setting room is to set different rooms, for different purpose.

But there is a keyboard shortcut that exports settings from one room to another, someone recently posted it on this forum but I can't find where.
It's the combination ctrl+alt while pressing the button for the room you want you're setting exported to, in the absolute bottom right corner. TVPaint then loads your interface colors and keyboard shortcuts to the room of your choice.

Hi Sewie,

Thank you! I think i found the function listed in the manual on pg 5-21 if you'd like to check that out!

however, before i can export the rooms, i'd like to set my room, and that's where i'm stuck. Would you happen to know anything about that? I'm not on full screen mode by the way~ :]

Thanks~

I am not sure what you mean with 'set my room'...

If you mean to change the interface colors, it's Edit > Preferences > Interface. That's where you can save you interface settings as well. And the keyboard shortcut can be saved via the Keyboard Shortcut Panel; CTR+k. (It'd be a good idea to have all these setting in one panel, I think. Perhaps something for a feature request.)

If you want different panel configurations in the different rooms you just arrange the panels in the rooms. When you reopen TVP they will be there as you left them.

Hello Sewie

Thank you again for your help!

By 'setting up my room' I mean to change the panels and setup of the room. For example, one of my rooms wont show me the playback controls at the bottom of my stage-screen, and another wont show me the open project tabs. Is there a way i can customize them so that they show up again by any chance?

Hmm, I've just tried it with the Remote Control Panel, and I think you might have stumbled upon a bug.

Normally, wherever you leave your panels, they reappear when TVP is restarted. It does so with my Light Table, Shape Settings Panel and other panels but not the Remote Control and that is strange... Can someone please check and affirm this, please?

A solution might be to use the border controls around the Project Window, it has many of the same controls as the Remote Panel. It appears when you press the button with a picture of a monitor on it, at the top of the screen, the one on the right of the horizontal row of icons at the top of the screen.
