Hello,
This is probably my second or third post here. My first two posts were pretty much pleading and asking for help learning TVPaint, today however, I would like to share my very first try in TVPaint. This is the production blog of my very first short film "Dirty Laundry Day", wish me luck.

How long does it take you to animate 10 seconds or a minute of solid character acting? What's keeping you from doing some of that?

Hey Paul, Elodie
Thanks for checking it out. I would love to finish it before the end of the year. I'm working on this film part time after work so my end date might fluctuate a bit. It's been an eye opening experience so far. 10sec would probably take me 3-4 days give or take.

I'm asking because I think you are listening to the wrong people when they tell you that you need to do a lot more self promotion. For what purpose? Animated films can be evaluated only after they've been animated, or at least after a good portion of the film has been set to motion. In my opinion there is too much self promotion going on these days. This can be self defeating unless there is something there to promote instead of talk about -- and even then I question this practice. In my book, self promotion is at its best when the quality of a film speaks for itself and becomes its own self promoter.

Hey Paul,
Thank you for taking the time and sharing your thoughts, and while I agree with most of what you said, I don't think I fit your description.
I'm so sorry my blog is giving the wrong impression. This blog was only created to "document the process, force me to stay the course, and share the experience with you" as stated in the header, It started as my "high tech" way of communicating with my out-of state partner and when we broke off the partnership I opened it to the public for second opinions and what have you. A very good portion of the film has already been set to motion but I chose to show just about enough to keep people interested.
