Is there a way to SHIFT AND PLACE drawings in TVPaint Pro?

I have searched forums, tutorials, and the manual for TVPaint Pro (Mac version) and I see no way to shift and place drawings off of the pegs for inbetweening, but then also place them back on the pegs when I am done with the inbetween. This is a very basic tool that I use all the time when I am animating on paper however TVPaint seem incapable of performing this task. I know of a work around to it, it is however laborsome and a bit of a time waster. Being able to move the drawings off and then back onto the pegs is a necessary function of hand drawn animation.
Does anyone know how to perform this function in TVPaint? Is it possible?
Thank you

Of course this can be done, depending on which version you have. Give us the complete figures.

(What version are you using, BTW?)

Out of Pegs is implemented in TVPaint this way. That you move the images shown in the lighttable.

You can flip the out of pegged images using this shortcut
It flips with the speed of you current playback. And this is probably to fast. So I have made this Custom Panel. Where you can set a specific framerate for the Out Of Peg preview

By the way, I think you need 10.0.18 or something. bot im not sure. I use the newest TVPaint version 10.5.2.
Kind Regards

Thanks for that Custom Panel, Mads. Somehow I had missed that previously when you posted it in the Contents Sharing forum.
The Flip button to be able to flip between the three drawings while in the shifted position is very useful.
Out-of-Pegs is difficult for the new user to understand from the explanation in the User Manual on page 155 - 157 . At the end the user manual explanation leaves out a step , where the newly drawn Inbetween must be shifted into the correct position between the two Extremes by using the Transform Tool to position it in the desired spacing , whether 1/2 way in the middle or 1/3 or 2/3 if it is supposed to favor one or the other Extreme.
If
both Extremes have been precisely shifted an equal distance then clicking on X (or actually "Reset" as it now named in TVP 10.5) then the new Inbetween will be correctly positioned 1/2 way in the middle , but if only one of the Extremes was shifted then the new Inbetween will be positioned favoring one Extreme or the other . The user must use the Transform Tool to shift the new Inbetween to 1/2 way in the middle.
The better default behavior would be that the new Inbetween is always automatically positioned exactly 1/2 way between the two extremes , then if the user desires that the new Inbetween should favor one or the other Extreme the user can re-position it with with the Transform Tool. But the current explanation in the User Manual is not clear on this procedure.
This is a function in TVPaint that needs a detailed video tutorial .
