New to TVPaint, Need help just getting a solid color!

Hi,
I've attached a still from a clip, where i want the background to just be a solid light green color, yet when i export it, it has little streaks of lighter color - it's not actually a solid color. It has a white line running vertically on the left of the frame aswell, which i don't want. how do i get rid of this?
i've tried both using the flood fill tool, and the solid rectangle tool to make the background, but they both come out with the same thing and it's driving me insane! i've tried messing with the range + expand fields of the floodfill tool, which hasn't appeared to change anything.

Thanks for your help!

You might have texture on when you do your fill.

Does that help?

Are you sure it is on the backgroup layer ?
Isn't the foregroud layer a scanned one, which may have these artifacts ?

You say you see the streaks only when you export it. Sometimes using the wrong codec can cause this. How are you exporting your files; which format and what are the settings? Are you exporting directly from TVP when you see these, or after you have edited in an NLE?

try this :
  • - delete your BG layer, and set the BG color to the light green color you want,
  • - check one after the other (display only the current layer) your layer's content (BG = None to get a black BG)
if the little white steaks or white line appear on one layer, clean (erase) them,
  • - set back the BG on Color, and export one frame in png 24bit format (BG option = On), to see if your exported image is correct,
if the problem (artifacts) is still there, post a screengrab of your tvpa interface, + a little sample of your project.

btw, very nice drawing ! 8)
