Mixer Brush - Power Expressed Through Pressure?

Post by djm99001 »

Hello!

I am an enthusiastic new user of TVPaint, and I especially love all the brush effects (and the fact that they're so responsive with the Wacom tablet). I have made a customized "Mixer" brush with a rounded brush profile, so that it introduces some paint and then smears around the result. I wish I could control the amount of paint it introduces based on pressure, but when I set the "Power" to "[P]" instead of "[C]", it just doesn't put any new paint on the canvas--it only smears what is already there.
Basically, I am trying to recreate the "watercolor" brush from PortalGraphics' OpenCanvas software. I think the TVPaint Mixer brush has a lot of potential but I don't know how to use it.

Thanks,
David

ZigOtto,

Thanks for the tip! I had installed the Perceptual Palette plugin but I hadn't figured out Autosampling properly. Lemec needs a medal!

Amazing, amazing.

Agreed ! ...

as for autosampling management, the better is to ask to Lemec himself, by opening a new "PPalette" thread,
or in his "lame lemec's drawings" thread (users gallery),
or in DAO forum, http://www.le-mec.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=2
