- Don't put all 2 minutes into one project file. Instead, create a separate project for each scene, or break up your project into reasonably sized parts.
- Learn how to use clips inside the project file.

For a two minute film I would probably do as Slowtiger suggests and create a separate TVPaint project file for each scene -- SCENE 001.tvpp , SCENE 002.tvpp , SCENE 003.tvpp , SCENE 004.tvpp, etc.

But within a single Project you can have it broken up into multiple Clips/Scenes . Go to the Project tab and click on the +1 to Add New Scene after Current Scene . Double Click on the default name "Untitled" to assign a unique name to each Scene : SCENE 001, SCENE 002 , SCENE 003 , SCENE 004 , etc. , or if my project is a film named something like "The Naughty Puppy" , I'd probably add the prefix , NP to each scene , so NP_SC_001, NP_SC_002 , NP_SC_003 , NP_SC_004 , etc.

Now to animate in SCENE 001 I click on that clip/scene in the group of scenes in the Project tab view , and then switch back to the Clip Timeline view to animate within that scene . Go back to the Project Tab to switch to a different clip/Scene.
