Importing audio issue
I am editing in Final Cut Pro X and my audio is 48 kHz. I output from FCPX as an image sequence and then export the audio as a .wav. So that resulting .wav file is 48 kHz. I loaded it into TVPaint and although it was there, no wave form could be seen and it played silent. I checked another project and noticed that the audio was 44.1 kHz, so I converted the other audio file and it worked! Thing is, my project audio is all at 48, so do I have to convert all my audio? And if so, why? And is there any info in the manual that explains things like file compatibility so that I would know, because I can't find anything about this? Or is there something else wrong?

Re: Importing audio issue
In TVPaint, did you change the sampling rate in "Preferences > Sound" to 48 KHz ?

Re: Importing audio issue
ok, after checking David's soundtrack, it appears that the file was a 5.1 surround, not handled by TVPaint.

Re: Importing audio issue
This is true. The reason is that Final Cut Pro X defaults to 5.1 output even though the source material in the project is mono! Absolutely stupid. I had no idea it was changing my mono audio to 5.1, but Fabrice discovered this, so now I changed my FCPX project settings to simply stereo and all is good. So in this case, all down to the dumb way that FCPX chooses to output, but now fixed. Thanks Fabrice!
