tvpaint and linux

Hello,
Will tvpaint work well with any distributions of Linux or it is best of have ubuntu?

In my experience it varies -- not because of the performance of TVP, which appears to be fine across all distros I have tried (judging from the Demo version), but because of the Sentinel drivers. In some versions of Linux they never install right, and thus TVP will quit instantly because the dongle cannot be detected.
I know for sure that TVP works in Ubuntu, but I believe it only works in the 32-bit install.

I have Ubuntu 64 bits, no problem with the drivers.
