Forgive another "newbie" question:

In Mirage 1.5 (which I own, but can't use on my new Intel Mac) there is a menu for using external Plug-Ins

Where is the equivalent in TVPaint ? How can I load external filter Plug-Ins , such as Photoshop plug-ins , in TVPaint ?

hi David,

have you tried to copy/paste these 2 files from the (old-side) plugins folder to the tvpa pro plugins folder?

Code: Select all

external.dll
external.loc
I don't know if it's 100% regular ... :?
but the fact is, with a little teaking*, that DID work here on my TVPA pro installation! 8) :D
(I didn't try on TVPA classic version, but I don't think it could work).

*PM me if you want more details.

Thank you ZigOtto.

Unfortunately , I just now came to understand that the external plug-ins feature in Mirage 1.5 is *PC only. The company where I used to work had Mirage on both PC and Mac computers. I have a Mac at my home. I wanted to use Mirage 1.5 at home for my own projects , but I found out later that Mirage 1.5 would not run on the new Intel processor Mac that I purchased for use at home. (that is what originally drove me to find out more about TVPaint ) .

I guess I should post this in feature requests ; to add ability to use external filter plug ins to TVPaint.

Thanks again for your suggestion.

-------
*Mirage user manual says:

"Mirage can apply many Adobe Photoshop 5.5 plug-in filters. This feature is "PC only" , unfortunately."

sorry, I'm not a mac user,
maybe only a temporary (silly?) solution, but have you think to a bootcamp (Win-OS) partition on your Mac,
with Mirage or TVPA pro installed on Windows side?
