Graphics Board.

Post by Henk Beumers »

Hello All.
A few days ago my Graphics Board crashed. ( Nvidia Geforce 740 GTX 1280 MB PCI e ) I borrowed a Board so I'm fine for the moment. But I need to buy a new one so I thought it was the right to ask the TVP users and developers what Graphics Board Fits TVP best at the moment and why. What makes a GB best for running TVP.

I know it's not the question you asked, but given how TVP doesn't depend on one's graphics card, one other thing to consider is if you are a Photoshop user. Photoshop uses OpenGL for some of its canvas rendering features, like the ability to rotate the canvas or zoom smoothly. If you use PS, make sure your card is OpenGL compatible. Most are nowadays, but I had a bad experience once and have been sure to look out for this ever since.

Hi all.
Thanks for the clear and brief answer Elodie. That's what we like to hear. Sadly though like Neonnoodle, I have to use Photoshop and the like's sometimes.
The Board I borrowed has Open GL so if it runs Photoshop without to much trouble i'll stick to it.

Thanks again, Henk.
