where did the thumbnails go?

Hello there,
I am new at TVP and sorry if this is a very silly question:
I use TVP 10.
I had finished my animation and wanted to duplicate the layer for safe keeping, i was fooling around with the animation panel, and pressed something which made all the thumbnails from the timeline disappear, though the animation is still there when i press play.

Do you know how to get the thumbnails back?

It looks like you might have unclicked "Show Thumbnails". Right click on layer and look for it there. It is also an option in Display settings under Preferences.
